The Artist

It is such a pleasure capturing some of the most precious chapters of my clients' lives. Truly. Helping women feel and really see the beauty they posses during their pregnancy is an inspiration in itself, as well as the happy tears evoked by the true-to-life images and emotions of children captured through my lens. I do this not only because it is my work, but because it is my voice in the world.

In 2003, I came to Chicago from Valparaiso, Indiana to live my dreams in the big city. I found the office environment not to my liking, and an interest in photography became a natural progression from an education in theatre and odd jobs in the talent industry. I desired more creative freedom, and portraiture became my focus. My personal journey through pregnancy and beyond paved the way to building a niche in maternity and child photography.

My portfolio is ever-evolving and growing. When I am not working on maternity, child, or family sessions, I am shooting for personal projects, which have been included in several showcases. As a photographer, it is most important for me to keep shooting, but it is as an artist that I must continue to push myself and grow.

I am...

a dreamer and a poet with my camera.

the mother playing freeze tag with her four-year-old at the park.

addicted to music and crave a good concert often.

a strong advocate for women's rights and proud to call myself a feminist.

fascinated by nature and will shoot outside in the summer with every chance I get.

active in supporting LGBTQ equality.

a dog person and a mother to a Doberman and Chihuahua/Min-Pin mix.

in love with spicy, bold wine and tasty restaurants.

always evolving, much like my photography.
